Spent $280 on a lift pump delete, wish I had done it sooner

My truck kept losing prime after sitting overnight, so I swapped the factory CP3 lift pump for a regulated return setup. The kit cost $280 and took a Saturday to install, but now fuel pressure sits rock solid at 15 psi even after a week parked. Anyone else seen a big jump in cold start hesitation after going the regulated return route?
