Hit 50 followers on my art page last night and it felt like a bigger deal than it should have

I started posting my digital sketches on ArtStation about 3 months ago. Last night I checked and hit exactly 50 followers after a piece I did of a cat in a spacesuit got shared by some random account in Ohio. Not a huge number but it's the first time anyone outside my mom has seen my work. Anyone else have a small milestone that caught them off guard?

The cat in a spacesuit sounds rad, 50 is real progress.

Yeah, I remember trying something like that years ago with my old orange tabby. Got a basic astronaut costume from a Halloween store and just the helmet part actually stayed on long enough to snap a few photos. What really worked for me was doing it in short bursts, like five minutes at a time with lots of treats in between. @jessicac28 you can totally get there with 50, just keep the sessions fun and let the cat set the pace. Mine eventually got used to it after a week of short practice runs. The key is patience and not forcing it when they resist too much.

Huh, I mean, is this really that big of a deal? Like getting a cat to wear a spacesuit for photos sounds more like a meme than a serious project. Idk, maybe it's just me but seems like a lot of work for a few snaps that'll end up forgotten in a camera roll. Fifty treats and a week of training just for a costume? That feels like overkill for something that probably won't even stay on long enough to get a good shot.
