I just sold my 100th print of a piece I almost didn't post. The number hit me.

It was a digital painting of a rainy city street, based on a photo I took in Chicago. I almost scrapped it because I thought the reflections looked messy. Posted it on a whim six months ago. That 100th sale notification made me realize how often we are our own worst critics. What's a piece you almost didn't share that ended up getting a surprising response?

Man, my "ugly" sketch of a melting popsicle somehow got more likes than my actual good work.

Yeah, the messy stuff hits different sometimes. I've had that happen with a quick coffee stain sketch I did on a napkin. People just connect with the raw idea, not the clean lines. Lean into it and try a few more "ugly" concepts on purpose.

But sometimes our gut is right and the messy stuff just stays messy, like phoenix_price29's popsicle.
