My tablet pen died mid-stroke while livestreaming a digital painting session

I was at home doing a demo for a small art Discord group and the battery gave out right as I was adding the final shadow on a portrait, leaving a jagged line across the canvas. Ended up having to frantically switch to my backup mouse while 12 people watched me fumble around for a solid minute before I got it working again. Has anyone else had a hardware fail at the worst possible moment during a showcase?

Doesn't it feel like the universe has perfect timing for the wrong things? I swear, moments like that always seem to come at the worst possible second, kind of like how your phone dies right when you need GPS the most.

nah i actually gotta disagree here. that jagged line sounds like it could be a cool happy accident. i mean yeah it sucks that the battery died but that little glitch tells a story about how you work in real time. digital art is so perfect all the time anymore having a messy human moment like that makes it feel more real. plus your audience got to see you problem solve on the fly which is way more interesting than watching someone just do a perfect stroke with zero drama.
