Question about using ArtStation vs Instagram for portfolio

I spent about 6 months posting my digital paintings on Instagram and got maybe 30 likes per piece. Switched over to ArtStation last month and the same art is getting 100+ views and actual comments from other artists. The engagement is way better because people there are looking for art, not just scrolling memes. Has anyone else seen a big difference between platforms like this?

Call Instagram Instagram but really it's just a scrolling contest where memes and selfies win every time. ArtStation at least pretends to care about actual art and the people looking at it. Six months of grinding for 30 likes is brutal, but hey, at least you figured out the difference before giving up entirely.
