Just counted and I've washed over 3,000 dishes with the same bottle of Palmolive
I was reorganizing my cabinet under the sink and noticed this bottle of Palmolive Original I bought back in March is still going strong. So I got curious and started counting how many loads I do a week. Turns out I do about 30 dishes per load and I wash up maybe 4 times a week. Did the math real quick and that's like 3,120 dishes on this one bottle and it's still got maybe a quarter left. I wasn't expecting that at all. I always figured Dawn was the only soap that lasted but this Palmolive just refuses to quit. The scent is pretty faded now but the grease cutting never dropped off. Has anyone else ever tracked how many dishes a single bottle actually handles? I'm curious if other brands beat that number.

Wait are you me? Because I had the exact same thing happen with a different brand and thought I was going crazy. I bought a bottle of Ajax maybe 4 months ago and it is still going even though I do a full sink load of dishes every single night for my family of four. I think some of it depends on how hard your water is too though. My in-laws have ridiculously soft water and their soap lasts forever while mine in the suburbs with hard water just seems to disappear. Your math actually makes sense to me because I've definitely rinsed the same mug like three times in one sitting and counted it as one dish so hey close enough.

Respectfully, gotta disagree a bit here. That math feels generous because not every load has 30 dishes (sometimes it's just a couple plates and a mug, you know?). Plus, PalmOlive always makes me feel like I need to use more soap than Dawn to get the same result, so my bottle runs out way faster than my wife's Dawn bottle. The fact that yours had 3,000 dishes and still has a quarter left makes me wonder if you're using way less soap than I am, like a tiny squeeze versus my usual heavy pour. Different strokes, I guess, but I've never been impressed by Palmolive's staying power in my kitchen.
