Switched from Dawn to a generic store brand for a month

I always swore Dawn was the only thing that could cut through bacon grease, but I grabbed the $1.99 Aldi brand on a whim last month to save a few bucks. To my surprise, it handled a greasy lasagna pan just fine, though the lemon scent was way weaker and faded fast. Has anyone else found a cheap alternative that actually works as well as the name brands?

Three bucks for the Aldi brand and my baking dish came out still greasy, had to re-wash. Dawn's still the only one that actually cleans without extra scrubbing for me.

Bet you didn't let the pan fully cool before washing it.

Three bucks? For the Aldi dish soap? Man I remember when that stuff was a dollar fifty and still worked okay. I mean, I've had the same problem though, bought their store brand a few months back and my casserole dish felt like it had a oil slick on it. Had to wash it three times before it actually felt clean. Maybe it's just me but I feel like they changed the formula or something.
