That time I dropped a whole bottle of dish soap in the sink during a power outage
It was about two months ago, a storm knocked out the power around 8pm here in Portland. I'm standing in the dark kitchen trying to wash a greasy cast iron pan by candlelight, and my hand slips. The whole 28 ounce bottle of lemon scented stuff goes straight into the sink, cap pops off, and it's just a foamy disaster zone. I couldn't see much but I could feel the bubbles creeping up my arms and over the counter edge. Had to grope around for the stopper, plug the sink, and start scooping out suds with a measuring cup into a bucket for like 20 minutes. The smell was so strong my nose burned, and I was basically bathing in that lemony foam. By the time the power came back, I'd used half a roll of paper towels just wiping down the floor. Has anyone else dealt with a massive soap spill in a tricky spot?

Man that's brutal, I did the same thing with a gallon of laundry detergent in a dark laundry room last winter and was slipping around on sudsy concrete for an hour. The smell stuck to everything for days, my clothes smelled like a dryer sheet exploded.
