Finally got my ex to sign the house paperwork after 11 months of back and forth
It was over a single clause about who pays for a future roof repair. We spent more time arguing about a roof that's fine now than we did planning our actual wedding. Anyone else get stuck on one tiny detail for what felt like forever?

Oh man, absolutely. We did the same thing over a stupid garden shed. It was a rotten little thing we both hated, but we nearly went back to court over who was responsible for tearing it down. Spent months on that while the big stuff was settled in a week. It's always the one pointless hill everyone decides to die on.

lol we had the exact same thing with a fence. My neighbor and I got along perfectly until one section of fence got knocked down in a storm. Suddenly we're arguing about who owns which side and whose responsibility it is. Lawyers were involved for a month over a 20 foot piece of wood. In the end I just said screw it and paid for it myself, cost me like 400 bucks but honestly it was worth it to not have that stress anymore. Sometimes you gotta pick your battles and realize your own sanity is worth more than being "right".
