Getting my own health insurance after the split took forever
When my ex's coverage ended, I figured signing up for my own plan would be a quick online thing. I was wrong. Between the paperwork, figuring out the income stuff, and a weird hold-up with my old address, it took almost three full months to get it sorted. I spent so many hours on the phone with the marketplace people. Anyone else have a simple admin task turn into a marathon after their divorce?

Honestly, three months sounds pretty standard to me, that stuff is never quick. You're dealing with a whole new legal and financial setup, of course it takes a minute. I'd say you got off easy, some people fight with insurance for years over way less. The system is built slow on purpose to check everything.
