My ex's lawyer just filed a motion to change our custody agreement, again.
Got the email from my attorney yesterday afternoon, right after I finished a big mulch job in Tempe. This is the third time in 18 months they've tried to alter the schedule, claiming my work hours are 'unstable.' I had to cancel two client meetings today just to gather pay stubs and calendar records to prove my income is solid. Has anyone else had to constantly defend their job in family court?

It's a control tactic that goes way beyond the courtroom. People use paperwork and process to punish others when the real relationship is over. You end up fighting over mulch jobs when you should just be picking up your kid.

My buddy's ex tried that line about his food truck schedule for two years straight. The judge finally told her to cut it out after the fourth pointless hearing. Some people just use the system to wear you down.

But how bad was the schedule really? Like was he working nights and missing every weekend visit, or was she just mad he had a job? Sometimes people blow small stuff way out of proportion.
