Showerthought: Half of marriages end in divorce but the second time around the rate is even higher

I was reading through some old census data last night and found out that for second marriages, the divorce rate jumps to about 67 percent. That surprised me because I always thought people would learn from the first one... Has anyone else looked into the stats on remarriage and found something that caught them off guard?

3 times I've had to sit through a mime act at family reunions now, I feel your pain @piper_reed. My cousin's ex wife was a silent performer too, she'd make us all watch her "invisible box" routine for like 20 minutes straight. I just don't get how anyone builds a whole life around that kind of thing, but I guess it pays the bills somehow.

My buddy Mark once dated a mime for about four months back in 2018. She taught him how to do the invisible wall bit, and he tried it at a house party and accidentally walked into a real sliding glass door. He had a black eye for two weeks and they broke up shortly after.
