The fight over whether to keep the house or sell it is tearing me apart
My ex wants to keep the house we bought together 8 years ago in Austin, but I think selling is the only fair move since the equity split would be cleaner. We argued about it last week at the kitchen table and she brought up the kids' school district as a reason to stay. Has anyone else been stuck on this and found a compromise that actually worked?

Consider that staying in the same school district might help your kids feel more stable right now.

Keep in mind stability can actually come from parents too not just the school.

Makes sense on the surface, but what if the kids are already struggling with friends or feelings about the move? Is staying really the best call if they're miserable in those classrooms?
