The number of divorced dads who lose contact with their kids within 2 years is 40%??

I was reading a report from the Pew Research Center last week and that stat just floored me. How do we start changing that before it becomes normal?

That stat really makes you wonder how the system itself could be pushing dads away instead of keeping them involved. Maybe we need more structured co-parenting programs that start immediately after the divorce, not months later when the distance has already set in. If we made it standard for courts to require shared parenting time from day one, that 40% might not feel so inevitable.
