The Tuesday my ex showed up at my kid's school play uninvited
Ngl, I was having a decent week until that Tuesday. My daughter was playing a tree in the spring play, and I was actually enjoying just sitting there without drama for once. Then I spotted my ex in the back row, which messed up my whole vibe. She claimed she just wanted to see the show, but why not tell me first? Has anyone else dealt with an ex crashing school events like this?

She just rolled up to a school play with zero heads up? That's wild. Makes me wonder if she knew you'd be there and wanted to catch you off guard or something. Sounds like she was testing the waters to see how you'd react. I'd be pissed too, school events are supposed to be drama free zones. Hope you kept your cool at least.

Three other parents told me she was crying in the parking lot before the play even started. That kind of unannounced showing up feels like she was hoping for some emotional moment, which is just weird for a school event. @davis.noah is right about it being a drama free zone shout, and I definitely kept my cool (barely, but I did).
