I was sitting in my car after grabbing groceries, just checking email on my phone. Saw a notification from a credit monitoring app I forgot I had. It flagged a new account opened in both our names at a bank I never heard of. That's when I realized she had been siphoning cash for months from our joint savings. I immediately froze our credit and called a lawyer from that parking spot. The lawyer found three more accounts totaling about $14,000.
