Finally gave in and bought an oscillating multi-tool after years of avoiding them

I spent 60 bucks on a refurbished one from Harbor Freight last month to cut out a rotted windowsill in my 1950s bungalow. That thing saved me about three hours of cursing with a chisel and a sawsall, and the cuts were cleaner than anything I could do by hand. Has anyone else been surprised by a tool they thought was a waste of money?

Got a refurb from Harbor Freight too for a plumbing job. Was sure it'd crap out on me but it cut through that copper pipe like butter.
