Paid $80 for a 'magic' wallpaper remover spray and it was just watered down soap

Bought a bottle of that fancy Dip-Grip wallpaper stripper from Home Depot, worked like crap compared to just mixing my own fabric softener and hot water. Anyone else fall for those overpriced specialty cleaners that don't actually work better?

Yeah I read somewhere it's basically just repackaged dollar store stuff.

Man, @norag66 you hit the nail on the head. I saw the same thing and it turned me off completely. That whole store just feels like it's banking on people not paying attention. They throw a fancy label on it and triple the price. No way I'm paying more for the same junk I can get down the street for a buck.

Yeah my buddy bought a "premium" tool set from there last month and the screwdriver handle literally snapped off on the second twist. Same exact stuff I've seen at the dollar tree for a fraction of the cost, just with nicer packaging and a price tag that would make you think it's quality. It's honestly kind of insulting how obvious the markup is once you actually look at the products. Even the kitchen gadgets my sister got from there feel flimsy and cheap, nothing like the real brand name stuff she thought she was getting. Total waste of money if you ask me.
