PSA: That $15 caulk gun from Home Depot is garbage for big jobs
Was sealing the baseboards in my 1800 sq ft basement last weekend and the plunger snapped off halfway through the first tube. Had to finish the whole project using a butter knife and sheer anger. Anyone else found a caulk gun that actually lasts more than one job?

Are you really that worked up over a $15 caulk gun? I've got a cheap one from Harbor Freight that's been through at least 20 tubes and still works fine. Maybe you just got a bad one or were pushing too hard.

Oh man, I used to think the same way until mine broke mid-job. Now I just spend the extra few bucks.

Yeah that's the worst when it breaks halfway through. My cheap one snapped right as I was finishing a bathroom. Had to run out and buy another one just to finish the job. Ended up getting a mid-range one and it's been solid for years now. Not the most expensive, but definitely not the cheapest either.
