Vent: My home tattoo needle broke mid-line at 2 AM

I was in my bathroom trying to finish a simple linework piece on my thigh, using a 5RL needle from a kit I got online. The needle just snapped right off the tube about halfway through a straight line, and I had ink and blood everywhere. I had to stop, clean the whole thing with antiseptic, and wrap it up with gauze until I could find a better setup. Has anyone else had a needle fail like this mid-stroke and how did you handle the cleanup?

Honestly, this sounds like a you problem. You bought a cheap online kit and got exactly what you paid for, those disposable parts aren't meant to handle any real pressure. Cleanup is just soap, water, and a lot of paper towels, the real issue is you not checking your equipment before poking at 2 AM. If you're gonna do this at home, at least spring for single use needles from a real supply site instead of blaming the tool when it gives out on you.

Oh, honey, never cheap out on needles but always check your grip pressure before you start.
