The $80 paint sprayer that made my kitchen look like a horror movie

Got a Wagner sprayer on sale last spring to repaint my cabinets. Saved maybe $100 in labor but spent 3 days stripping paint off my counters, floor, and the cat. Ended up paying a guy $250 to fix the mess with a brush. Has anyone else had better luck with those things or am I just cursed with overspray?

Masking tape and plastic sheeting are your best friends with those things. Learned that the hard way when I painted my fence and the neighbor's car got a nice speckle job. Honestly, for cabinets, a cheap foam roller gives you way more control and takes maybe an hour longer. The sprayer only pays off if you're painting a whole room where overspray doesn't matter.
