Duct taped my fridge door shut and it actually worked
So last week I noticed my fridge wasn't keeping things cold anymore. I checked the seal and there was this gap on the bottom corner where the rubber had peeled away. I was about to drop $50 on a new seal kit from the hardware store but then I just grabbed a roll of gorilla tape I had in the drawer. I folded over a strip of tape to make a thick pad and stuck it right where the gap was. Now the door closes tight and my milk is actually cold again. It's been 5 days and the tape is still holding strong. Has anyone else fixed a fridge seal with something random like this?

Oh come on, you're gonna trust a piece of tape to keep your food safe for more than a week? That gorilla tape is going to peel off when you least expect it and you'll end up with warm milk and rotten leftovers.

Nah @clairem47, it's just tape on a fridge door, not exactly life or death stuff here.
