My uncle swore a penny would fix my rattling dryer for good
He told me to tape a penny to the top panel to balance the drum. Worked like a charm for about 2 loads, then the penny flew off and dented my laundry room wall. Has anyone else tried a makeshift fix that backfired this bad?

Wait, is this really that serious though? I mean yeah it's weird to tape a spoon to a fan and turn it on, but calling it "weaponizing" feels like a stretch. @terry_lewis21 was probably just messing around, not trying to hurt anyone. People do dumb stuff with fans all the time without it being some big deal. I get that safety matters, but sometimes things get blown way out of proportion on here. Maybe take a breath before assuming the worst about someone's goofy experiment.
