Called BS on graphite locks for years. Tried it yesterday.
Had a sticky deadbolt driving me nuts for 6 months. Kept spraying WD-40 on it. Friend told me to try powdered graphite instead. Finally grabbed a $4 tube at the hardware store. Worked instantly and the lock feels brand new. Anyone else fight with a lock forever before trying the simple fix?

Tried it on my front door last winter and it felt like night and day. The graphite just slides right into the keyway (unlike WD-40 which kinda just sits there). I was so mad at myself for not spending the whole four bucks six months earlier.
