My uncle had one of those old Craftsman boxes from the mid 90s... thing weighed like 80 pounds empty. But honestly I see it different than patb12 says. A toolbox that lasts 20 years is more than just a box, it's a testament to not buying junk every few years. Those old toolboxes were built to survive moving between trucks and getting banged around, not made out of thin metal that dents if you sneeze on it. I respect the reliability more than the sentimentality, if that makes sense.

20 year old toolbox" - mate, that thing has probably seen more action than most of our entire careers combined.

Are you really trying to make a 20 year old toolbox sound like some kind of war hero? It's just a metal box with some screwdrivers and wrenches in it. You're acting like it's the difference between life and death on a work site or something.
