Wait, your dad actually got clean windows from vinegar and old newspaper? I always thought that was just some old wives' tale our grandparents swore by. My dad tried to tell me the same thing back when I was cleaning my first apartment and I just laughed at him. I used Windex and paper towels and ended up with more streaks than a zebra has stripes. Maybe I need to call my old man up and apologize for being such a smart mouth.

Cracked up reading this because I did the exact same thing. Told my grandpa he was living in the dark ages with his weird window cleaning ritual. Then I tried it one day out of desperation and my windows looked like they belonged in a showroom. Had to eat crow and admit the old man knew what he was talking about. Still haven't called to apologize though, too proud for that. You gonna break down and make that call or let your dad keep thinking he's right all along?

Man, I feel you on this one hard. @elizabeth900 is right, it's brutal admitting the old timers knew what they were talking about. I did the exact same thing with my grandpa and his lemon juice furniture polish trick. Thought he was just being cheap. Now I'm the one hoarding old newspapers for window days. You should make that call though, dad jokes aside, they love hearing they were right. Might sting for a second but it's good for the soul.
