That tip about using a bread clip to fix a wobbly table leg actually held up for 6 months now
I stuck a bread clip under the short leg of my kitchen table after a friend mentioned it at a BBQ, and it hasn't wobbled once through 3 moves and a stack of textbooks - has anyone else tried this with other random plastic items?

3 moves is pretty impressive, I'll give you that. But I had the exact opposite experience with a bread clip under my nightstand. After about 2 months the humidity in my bedroom made the plastic warp just enough that the wobble came back even worse than before. And when I finally pulled it out, that clip had cracked into three pieces from all the pressure. I tried a folded up business card once for a table at work and it held up better than any plastic thing I've used.

oh man, that humidity thing is real. I had a buddy who tried using a cut-up piece of a plastic milk jug to level out his desk at his old apartment. Worked fine for about a month and then summer hit. The whole plastic strip just went soft and squishy like a wet noodle. He came home one day to find his monitor tilted at a weird angle and all his papers slid off onto the floor. It was actually kind of funny to hear him tell the story, but he was pretty annoyed at the time. He ended up just grabbing a flat rock from outside and that thing has been holding steady for like two years now. Sometimes nature stuff just beats the plastic.
