Vent: Saw a TikTok telling people to use a lighter to fix a stuck zipper
My niece showed me this video where some dude says heat up a lighter and rub it on a stuck zipper to loosen it. Tried it on my old Carhartt jacket and the zipper pull got so hot I burned my thumb. Then the plastic slider melted a bit and now the zipper is completely wrecked. Who actually tests these hacks before posting them?

Blame my dumb ass, honestly. I'll find some janky script on Reddit at 2am, think "yeah this looks safe", and run it on my main machine without testing it on anything else. Half the time it bricks something or just flat out doesn't work, and I'm left wondering why I didn't just boot up a VM first. But hey, at least I can confirm it doesn't delete your system32... usually. I really should know better by now but the rush of finding something that might actually work is too tempting. It's a miracle I haven't nuked my gaming rig yet.

Right? Same here. I've definitely been guilty of just copy-pasting some random code without even reading the comments first. It's a total gamble every single time.
