Had a major layer state mix-up during a client review in Chicago last week

I was showing a floor plan on screen and accidentally had the wrong revision visible, which caused a huge confusion about wall placements. Anyone else have a foolproof method for locking down presentation views before a meeting?

Oof, that's the worst feeling right there. Been there with the wrong layer state popping up. My team uses a strict naming rule for our view files, like "PRESENTATION_CLIENT_20241014", and we lock them as read-only right before exporting. It adds one more step but saves the panic. What naming system do you use now?

Honestly find that kind of system way too rigid for my workflow. Locking files just adds another thing to remember and I'd probably forget half the time. I keep it simple by saving a brand new copy of the file right before any big export, so the original is always safe to mess with. That way I'm not fighting read-only flags when I need to make a last minute fix.
