My CAD file kept freezing until I messed with the snap settings

I mean, I was ready to lose it after my drawing kept locking up every five minutes. It's this old warehouse layout, and the lines just wouldn't behave, you know? I spent hours thinking it was a memory issue or something. Then, idk, I just toggled off the grid snap and switched to object snap only. Maybe it's just me, but that simple change made everything smooth instantly. The cursor stopped jumping around, and I could place dimensions without a fight. It felt like such a dumb fix for such a big headache. Now I'm wondering why I didn't try that first thing. Still, at least the draft is finally moving along.

Was the grid snap making it hard to place things exactly?

People get so worked up about grid snap, but is it ACTUALLY a problem? Most of the time, the grid helps you line things up straight. Do we REALLY need everything placed with perfect exactness? Snap keeps things tidy and stops messy arrangements. It's not worth freaking out over such a minor issue. Just turn the snap off if it bugs you THAT much.

I always thought grid snap was fine until this project, @haydenfisher. Now I see how much it can mess with your flow when you need precision.
