Tried a new hatch pattern method on a steel beam detail last week

I used to just pick a pattern from the default list, but this time I made a custom one with the exact spacing I needed. It cut my revision time in half because the shop didn't have to call for clarification. Anyone else build their own library of custom patterns?

My old commute used to take 45 minutes before I figured out the back road pattern. @verar21 is right, it's the same idea. You find a system that works and you just stick with it. It's wild how much time we waste before we see the obvious shortcut. Now I apply that to everything from grocery shopping to sorting emails.
