Question about faster anchor setup in shallow water
I've seen the riverbed get rockier near the banks this year. Old anchor spots don't hold like they used to. I started using a double-grapnel setup for the bow line. It grabs better and we don't drift as much. Just a thought from my last project.

Yeah but isn't that just how it goes? You find a fix that works for a changed situation, even if it's a bit more hassle. It's like when your usual commute route gets blocked and you have to take two different streets instead.

Honestly sounds like overkill for shallow water though. Tbh a single fluke anchor with more chain usually works fine unless you're dealing with serious current. Ngl maybe the old spots just need a different style anchor, not twice the gear to manage. Seems like extra work for a problem that might have a simpler fix.
