Spotted a dredge in a very odd place last week
I was driving through this little town in central Oregon, Prineville, and saw a small cutterhead dredge just sitting in a field next to a gas station. No water for miles. It looked like it had been there a while, just parked on the dirt. My buddy with me said, 'Guess they're dredging for gravel now.' Has anyone else ever seen a dredge in a spot that made zero sense?

Maybe it's a new kind of land yacht. Your buddy's guess is as good as any.

Oh man, that reminds me of a huge excavator I saw just sitting in a suburban parking lot in Arizona. I asked around and it turned out the construction company went bust and just left it. They finally hauled it away after like six months.

Wait, did they just leave the keys in it or something? I always wonder who ends up with the legal mess when a company ditches equipment like that. Like, did the city have to pay to move it, or did some scrap guy finally get a freebie? That's a wild thing to just abandon.
