Switching to sonar for surveys made me rethink everything
I thought visual checks were enough, but seeing a sunken log on the sonar display proved me wrong.

Seeing that sunken log on sonar really proved visual checks wrong. Guess staring at the water only works if you have x-ray vision. It's like trusting a flashlight to see through a wall. Sonar must feel like unlocking a secret level in a video game. What else did you find hiding down there?

Trust your eyes over gadgets sometimes. Sonar just gives you blips, not the full picture.

Man, it's like that with everything now. My old car's check engine light came on for months before I felt anything wrong. Tech shows us the hidden problems we'd just ignore otherwise, from weird engine codes to logs you can't see.
