That moment the suction line clogged solid with a boot in the Schuylkill
We were pulling up silt near the old bridge and the whole pump just shuddered to a stop, so I had to suit up and clear it by hand in the freezing water. Anyone else ever pulled something that ridiculous out of a line?

Man, a whole boot? That's wild. I once had to pull a soggy couch cushion out of a storm drain line, felt like I was wrestling a dead animal.

Actually a storm drain line and a sewer line are different systems. The cushion was in a storm drain, which just carries rainwater off streets. A sewer line is what takes waste from your house. You wouldn't find a boot in a storm drain unless someone dropped it in a street grate.
