Overheard a contractor roasting my neighbors' eavestrough at the Tims on 118 Ave
I was grabbing a coffee this morning and heard this older guy telling his crew how half the houses in this neighborhood have gutters pitched wrong. Said he'd fixed 3 homes on the same block last week alone, each one about 15 feet of run with zero slope, so the water just pools and rots the fascia. Got me checking my own place tonight with a level, and sure enough, the back corner drops about 2 inches over 20 feet, which is technically 'pitched' but way too fast, so the water dumps right by my basement window. Anyone else found major issues on their place just from a random conversation, or do I need to get a second opinion before I call someone out?
