Heard a guy at the supply house say 'wire nuts are wire nuts, just crank them tight'

That's how you get callbacks for flickering lights or melted connections. I've seen a 15 amp circuit fail in a month from that. What's the worst hack advice you've ever heard someone give?

That "crank them tight" advice is how you start electrical fires.

My old foreman used to say you could strip wire with your teeth. That kind of talk gets people hurt for no good reason. It's just lazy and dangerous.
