This week I fixed a 1980s arcade cabinet that had been sitting in a bar's basement for 15 years.

The owner said 'if you can't fix it, it's scrap,' and finding the exact 5-amp fuse for the CRT neck board in a local surplus shop made the whole thing hum back to life, so what's the most satisfying 'back from the dead' repair you've pulled off recently?

My neighbor's old lawnmower had a seized engine that sat for a decade. Getting it to cough back to life on the first pull felt like pure magic.

3 years back I had a 1972 Honda CB350 that sat in a shed since the 90s - crusty gas tank and all. @elizabeth900 is right about beating that planned obsolescence thing, but what made yours finally blow that 5-amp fuse in the first place?

Seeing old things work again feels like beating planned obsolescence.
