Got offered free tacos to fake an inspection sticker
The building manager slid a box of tacos my way during the annual check. I didn't fake it, but man, those tacos were tempting.

My cousin in Phoenix saw the same thing with free coffee for skipping code violations. It's crazy how often small favors get offered to skip rules, lol.

Remember when our building inspector tried to skip checking our new deck for a case of beer. I just acted super confused and said I needed the official paperwork for my insurance, kept asking boring questions about permit numbers until he gave up and did the real inspection. Sometimes playing dumb and sticking to the boring rules is the only way to shut it down. It feels awkward but it beats having your deck collapse later.

Yeah, it's crazy how common that stuff gets. I heard about a landlord offering free rent for a month to ignore leaky pipes, and then the whole floor got damaged. It starts with tacos or coffee, but it can snowball into serious safety issues if people keep looking the other way. What's the most blatant bribe you've ever been offered?
