I spent over $800 on a 'life coach' who basically just told me to drink more water and journal.

Okay but how much water are we talking? I once paid for a fancy planner that basically told me to go to bed on time, so I feel this. I mean, I guess sometimes you need to spend $800 to really hear "drink your water, Nancy.

Is it really that bad though? Some people just need someone to tell them the simple stuff because they won't do it on their own. Paying for that push isn't for everyone, but it doesn't make the whole thing a scam. Maybe the person got something out of it we don't see. Not every expensive thing is automatically a ripoff.

That "life coach" should be arrested. Spending eight hundred bucks for someone to tell you basic stuff you can get from a free app is a total scam. It makes me mad how many people sell expensive advice that isn't worth anything. You basically paid for a very expensive hydration reminder. I hope you can get your money back, but I doubt it. The whole industry feels built to take advantage of people who just want some help.
