My $80 phone bill turned into a screaming match at the bus station

Last Tuesday in Denver, I was waiting for the 15 bus when my bank app showed my phone bill payment didn't go through. I called my carrier right there and the rep kept saying I missed a payment from 3 months ago that I know I paid. I raised my voice a bit and people started staring at me like I was crazy. Turns out the auto-pay glitched and they'd been piling on late fees. Has anyone else had a company blame you for their own system error and then act like you're the bad guy for getting upset?

Nah I mean it's annoying for sure but a screaming match at a bus station over a phone bill feels like a lot. Systems mess up sometimes, you just gotta call back later when you've cooled off.

You ever have a friend who just keeps getting screwed by the same company over and over? My buddy Jake was stuck on hold with his internet provider for an hour, finally got someone who admitted it was their glitch, then the rep tried to upsell him a faster plan before fixing the bill. He just hung up and ate his frustration with a burger instead.

Same energy as me yelling at my toaster for burning toast.
