My neighbor's money talk made me stop hiding my own debt

For years I kept my credit card debt a secret, even from my wife. Then my neighbor Frank in apartment 4B told me he paid off $12,000 in two years by just talking to a free counselor at the credit union. I called them last Tuesday and already have a real plan. Does anyone else feel like just saying the number out loud is the hardest part?

Always figured you had to handle money problems alone. Hearing your neighbor talk about it makes it seem way less scary. Good for you for making that call.
