Vent: My neighbor keeps asking to 'borrow' $20 but never pays it back

It's happened three times this month, and the last time he said 'I'll get you next Friday' while holding a new video game. Why do people think small debts don't count? Anyone else have a polite way to shut this down?

Yeah, it's wild how some people just keep pushing. Like @jennyh41 said, a flat no works but man, it gets old. My old roommate used to "borrow" my good pens and I never saw them again, you know?

Ugh, that's the worst. My cousin pulled that same stuff for months until I just started saying "sorry, can't" every single time.
