A neighbor down the street told me she lost 30 pounds by eating a whole jar of pickles every day and I almost believed her until I asked about the sodium

She said it curbed her cravings for sweets but when I checked the label on the pickle jar it had 1,200 mg of sodium per serving and she was eating four servings a day, has anyone else run into a diet tip that sounds good but is actually dangerous if you look closer?

I mean is it really that dangerous though? Like yeah 4800 mg of sodium is a lot but if you're drinking enough water and your kidneys are healthy you'll just pee most of it out lol. I've done extreme keto which gave me crazy electrolyte imbalances and a jar of pickles sounds way less scary than some of the bone broth and salt water fasting stuff I see people recommend online without any disclaimers. Honestly the pickles thing sounds goofy but not deadly unless you already have heart issues.
