I read that the average person tries 126 diets in their lifetime

I found this stat in a magazine at my doctor's office last week, and it made me feel a bit better about my own messy history. I've probably tried at least ten myself, from cutting out sugar to that weird cabbage soup plan my aunt swore by. How many different diets have you all actually started?

Honestly that number sounds about right. Finally stopped counting and just focused on eating more vegetables and protein. The simple stuff is what actually stuck for me.

I saw a study that found people who tracked food for over a year had the same results as those who just aimed for better food choices. That lines up with what you're saying, foster.charles. The mental load of counting just isn't worth it for a lot of folks.
