Ngl my sister told me the keto diet was making me smell like old cheese and I got so mad but she was right

I was 3 weeks into keto 6 months back and feeling great, down like 12 pounds. Then my sister comes over and goes "dude you smell like a farm" and I laughed it off. Next day I smelled my own breath and honestly it was foul. That acetone thing is real. I ended up quitting keto that week. Has anyone else had someone call them out on a diet side effect and just gave up?

Man I totally get that. What worked for me was switching to a more moderate low carb thing, not full keto. I bumped up my carbs a little with stuff like berries and sweet potatoes, and the smell went away in like 4 days. @torres.sage is right, that breath is nasty and it was a deal breaker for me too.
