The keto diet lasted 8 days before I caved at a diner in Tulsa
I was all in on keto last month, bought the expensive almond flour and everything. By day 8 I was at a Waffle House off Route 66 and ordered hash browns with gravy. Has anyone else found that cutting out carbs just makes you think about them constantly?
Dr. David Ludwig from Harvard did this study showing that when people cut carbs, their body fights back by making them crave them more. That explains why I made it 6 days on paleo before I ordered a pizza with extra cheese and told myself the crust was optional. The whole "keto flu" thing is real too, I felt like garbage for a week and then caved. Your brain basically treats carbs like a drug and going cold turkey just makes it scream louder.
