Rant: A client in Phoenix asked me to close a deal in 48 hours, then ghosted

They said 'speed is everything' on Monday, but by Wednesday they'd stopped answering my emails completely. Has anyone else had a buyer vanish right at the finish line?

Ugh, that's the worst, but a lead isn't a buyer until the money's in the bank.

yeah i guess, but @the_charles do we really need to act like every lead that doesn't close is some huge tragedy? sometimes people just lose interest, it's not that deep

Well, they're not a buyer until the deal is done. That's just a lead that went cold.
