Gravel over concrete for posts? My rainy season project proved it.
Lots of folks insist on concrete, but gravel let the water drain and kept the fence straight. I learned this fixing a washed-out section last spring.

Gravel's the MOVE for drainage, concrete just TRAPS water and heaves everything up.

Saw a thing online that totally backed up what @bettybaker said. That trapped water under concrete can wreck a foundation in like two seasons. Gravel really is the only way to go.
