My automated savings transfer to my high-yield account failed last Tuesday

The app said it was a 'routine system update' but it took me calling their support line to get the $200 moved over. Has your bank's automation ever just quietly stopped working?

My credit union had a similar "system update" last month that paused all auto-pays for three days. Robin's right that it's normal, but it makes you wonder how many people don't check and just miss a payment or a savings chance. The quiet failures are the real problem, not the fixing part.

Honestly, that sounds pretty normal. Tech needs updates to stay secure. A one-time hiccup isn't a big deal. They fixed it when you called, right? Expecting perfect automation 100% of the time is just not realistic. A human check on your accounts is still a good idea anyway.

True, but my own tech skills are so bad I'd probably lock myself out of my own accounts. At least the automated system has a support number to call. Can't say the same for my brain sometimes.
